Please find below a series of frequently asked questions about our products and our business.

Are our products pet friendly?

All of our products are cat and dog friendly. We do not use any scent or essential oil that is problematic to them.

Are your products cruelty free?

We truly believe in our environment and we do not want to be associated with any products which are animal or environmentally unfriendly.  All of our products are vegan.  We strive not to use plastic.  All of our packaging is recyclable.

We carefully consider our impact on the environment and even our packaging tape is recyclable.


How long is delivery?

We seek to dispatch all of our products within in 1 - 2 business days after an order is placed (Monday to Friday). We now send all of our products via the Royal Mail 2nd class signed-for post. You will receive a notification by e-mail when your order has been dispatched with your tracking number.  Please check your spam folder if you have not received it within 3 business days.

What is our delivery policy

Whilst we aim to dispatch all orders within 1 - 2 business days, our policy states we will dispatch all orders within two to three working days (Mon - Fri) of purchase. 

Our standard postage costs are £3.50, or as detailed at the checkout.  Our standard delivery uses the Royal Mail second class signed-for service.


Some of our products may come with free postage and packaging and these are also sent out via the Royal Mail second class signed-for service.

We cannot guarantee the service level offered by Royal Mail, so please allow 14 days for receipt of your order after being notified of dispatch, please check your junk e-mail for our dispatch note if not received within 3 working days of your order being placed.  


We will include a tracking number with your dispatch note.

We cannot be held responsible for any lost parcels which are shown to be delivered by Royal Mail. We are happy to raise the issue with Royal Mail, however, if a tracked parcel is shown to have been delivered to the address provided on the order, we will have fulfilled our responsibility.

We will not be able to process any refunds for lost parcels, or dispatch any replacement products until at least 14 days has passed after an order has been dispatched.

Do you provide free samples?

No. We are a small, family run business. We cannot afford to send you free samples. We do offer value packs on our website. This is the perfect way to try new scents before purchasing a larger box.


What happens if I don’t like a scent?

We offer wax melt sample packs for a modest price which enables you to try our products in smaller quantities.  We know everyone has a different scent pallet, so please try our products we do not think you will be disappointed. 

If you receive a wax melt box and you do not like the scent, we will accept returns within a 28 day period. The product will have to be returned to us un-used at your own cost.  Please contact us at addictedtoscents@outlook.com for the return address details. 

Unfortunately, we are unable to send you free items because you didn’t like a certain scent. We are a small, family run company who work very hard to provide the best melts possible, but we aren’t responsible for individual taste.


Can I mix and match scents in a box?

We can’t mix and match scents in a box for you individually. However, we do have a range of selection boxes available. It would be extremely time consuming and result in prices increasing to pack individual boxes.

How do wax melts work?

A wax melt is a mixture of soy wax, colouring and highly concentrated scent.  In order to release the scent the wax is heated to melting temperature to release the concentrated scent via a "scent throw". We use the maximum scent concentration possible in our products. The percentage of scent we can use is legally restricted for safety reasons. We are fully CLP compliant and we are trained in wax melt and candle manufacturing and fully insured.  

Depending upon your wax melt burner and the temperature the wax is heated to, there may be visible vapour emitted from the wax melts. This is perfectly usual as it is the scent evaporating from the wax pool.   However, if you have a small wax melt burner, or an electric burner which may heat the wax to a very high temperature, you may witness some smoke.  If any smoke is experienced please turn down the electric heating setting, or use a larger burner to reduce the heat of the wax pool.  This will make your melts last longer too.

How many Wax Melt Gems should I use?

We recommend using two gems to provide the best scent throw. However, this depends upon the size of your room.  You can try with one and add another if you want a stronger scent throw.

If you are not happy with our products, you can return them to us within 28 days. The product must be in the same condition as you received it, undamaged in any way.

You are eligible for a full reimbursement within 28 calendar days of your purchase.

After the 28-day period, you will no longer be eligible and won't be able to receive a refund. We encourage our customers to try the product (or service) in the first two weeks after their purchase to ensure it fits your needs. Return postage is covered by the customer.
