We have been carefully thinking about our postal policy over the last two months after experiencing postal issues over the November and December period, like so many businesses in the UK. (For example - we ordered a Christmas present from Boots in November that arrived on Christmas Eve!)
We know the postal delays were due to the volume of parcels Royal Mail had to deal with. We do not want to criticise our hard working Royal Mail staff, they were trying their best over this difficult period. We are also keen to support our local post office.
Customer Service is our number one priority and we did re-send some orders over the last two months, where they were delayed by an unacceptable period of time. We also decided in December to dispatch all orders via first class tracked postage, at our cost, to make sure our customers could keep an eye on where their parcels were.
As a small business, we offer a large number of our products within our range with free postage. However, in order to keep our product costs low, we are unable to offer first class tracked postage as standard. We have therefore decided to dispatch all products via second class tracked postage and we have included for a modest upgrade charge to send via first class tracked. All customers will be e-mailed their postal tracking number on their dispatch note.

We were also pleased to see ourselves finally categorised on the Clearpay website, under the Home Fragrance section over the Christmas period.
We are still working with Clearpay to make sure we appear on the right search results, which is proving to be a challenge. However, we are making progress and learning more about marketing day-by-day.
